Gold Service (Advanced PAT Testing) As for Silver service including implementation of our system to enable customer to remotely add new equipment to their database.
This will ensure the database is up to date at all times and any new equipment will be picked up and tested at the required time. This is also a handy tool to maintain an asset registry of all your equipment.
Bremins’ system utilises a digital pen and paper system known as anoto. This allows the customer to enter details of their equipment at any time and input into their own database by the tick of a box.
The information is then automatically sent to us through the pen and we do the rest including allocate the equipment a date for the first test 12 months from install date and carry out the testing when due.
Do It Yourself (Self-service PAT). If you prefer to carry out your portable appliance testing in house, Bremins offer a service to supply all the equipment. But it doesn’t stop there.
The Bremins DIY PAT service is more than a simple PAT Hire service: we supply everything your company needs to carry out your PAT including the reports. All without the large set up costs generally associated with doing it yourself.
Our system is different, we designed a system which is simple to use and cost-effective from the start with no training required.
In fact any employee able to carry out a pat test will not only be able to use our system without any training but also be able to carry out the testing efficiently and productively without mistakes. No more heavy set up costs for in house PAT.
How It Works. The results are recorded using a specialised digital pen and anoto forms, supplied with the test unit. Forms and pens can be supplied if you have testing equipment capable of:
- Testing earth bond from 100ma to 25Amps
- Insulation resistance from 20Mohms up
- Earth Leakage
The forms are easy to use and allow results to be recorded quickly and accurately. They utilise checkboxes and short codes where possible (MO for MONITIR etc).
Inside the pen is a small camera that records every pen stroke, storing it in its non-volatile memory. The pen is unfaultable and can also scan bar codes; ensuring serial number entry is accurate and simple. The test results take seconds to record.
Once testing is completed, the form can either be sent automatically via Bluetooth and a mobile phone or the pen can be downloaded onto a computer and emailed to us. Once we receive the form, our system will automatically set up a database for your company logging the data from the test.
The database acts as a full asset registry system, allowing full tracking of the equipment being tested. It can also be used as a PAT test register, which you are able to add to and update. Your registry is yours to use for life. You will never need another asset registry.
For retesting equipment you only need the appliance asset number and test results. The database will then update the appliance with this data and create a history. New, missed and relocated equipment can also be recorded in the database ensuring all equipment gets tested.
Reports can be supplied by location, asset description, items due for testing and more. We can even remind you when each appliance is due for a retest.
The database collects information to record the exact location of equipment. This includes:
- Client, Site
- Building
- Floor
- Department
- Room
- Description
- Manufacturer
- Appliance Serial Number
We are able to instantly supply full reports in several formats:
- Exact copies of the written forms
- Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
- Microsoft Access database
- Fully computerised logbooks in hard copy/CD-ROM
Should you decide to bring in a PAT company, you can still use our system to record the results. The serial numbers, descriptions, etc have already been recorded, so the test company only needs to record the asset number rather than creating a new registry.
This system is also more efficient and productive than any tester on the market. As we will still generate reports for your company, you can demand a good price.
